Frequently asked questions

If your question isn't answered here, ask it in the notes box when you apply. Applying commits you to nothing, and we'd rather resolve it first.

Access & control

Do I hand over my password?

You grant access through our managed session system rather than sending a password by email, and you change your password when the engagement ends. Full details of how access works are covered in your engagement agreement before you sign anything.

Can I still use LinkedIn normally?

Yes. Post, comment, message and apply for jobs exactly as before. We schedule campaign activity around your own usage so the two never collide.

Will you post or comment as me?

No. We only send connection requests and reply within direct messages. We never post publicly, comment, react, or change your headline, photo, bio or work history.

Can I block certain companies or industries?

Yes, and we encourage it. During onboarding you give us a blocklist — competitors, your own employer, and any industry you'd rather not be associated with. It's written into your agreement, enforced for the whole engagement, and you can add to it at any time.

Will you message people I already know?

No. We work from target lists of people outside your existing network. Your current connections, colleagues and any recruiters who approach you are strictly off-limits.

Will clients see who I am?

Not unless you want them to. Normally a client just sees a summary — your industry, seniority, region, roughly how big your network is, and when you're free. No name, no contact details, no profile link.

Sometimes a client wants to see the actual profile before going ahead. We'll only show them if you've said it's fine first, and then only through a private link that covers that one client and runs out on its own. Your email, phone number and what we pay you are never part of it, and you can tell us to switch it off any time.

Do I see what's being sent?

Yes. You approve the target list and message templates before a campaign starts, and you receive a full monthly log of everything sent from your profile.

Payments

How much will I earn?

We quote one specific monthly figure in USD after a specialist reviews your profile — not a range and not "up to". It depends on your industry, seniority, account history, region and how long you commit. We deliberately don't publish a headline number, because a single figure across every profile would be inaccurate.

When do I get paid?

Monthly, on the same date each month, via PayPal, Wise, direct bank transfer or stablecoin. Your first payment arrives 30 days after your campaign goes live.

What if a campaign is paused?

You're paid in full for that month regardless. If we stop for reasons on our side — a client ends a contract, or we want to adjust an approach — that's our cost, not a deduction from you.

Do I ever pay ExtraProfile anything?

Never. No application fee, no setup fee, no deductions. Money only moves toward you. If anyone claiming to represent ExtraProfile asks you for a payment, it isn't us — please report it.

Is this income taxable?

Almost certainly yes — it's income. We don't withhold tax and we're not qualified to advise on your circumstances. Declare it according to your local rules and speak to an accountant if the amount is significant.

Eligibility & process

How long does approval take?

Three business days. A specialist reviews every application against current client demand — there's no automated scoring.

What kind of profile do you accept?

Typically an account at least two years old with 500+ genuine connections and a B2B-relevant background — tech, SaaS, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, consulting or recruitment. These are guidelines rather than hard rules, so apply anyway if you're close.

What's the minimum commitment?

Three months. Campaigns need runway before they produce results, and below that neither side gets value from the setup effort.

How much of my time does this take?

A 20-minute onboarding call, then occasional messages when we need a verification code or a quick decision. We ask that you're reachable within 48 hours.

How do I end the arrangement?

Thirty days' written notice any time after the initial term, with no penalty. We log out, you change your password and revoke the session, and that's the end of it.

What happens to my data afterwards?

Campaign logs are retained for 12 months for dispute resolution, then deleted. Application details are deleted on request at any time — see our privacy policy.

Before you apply

What should I read first?

Our Terms & Conditions set out the full arrangement, including platform compliance, the risks you accept, payment terms and how engagements end. We recommend reading them before applying — particularly sections 4 and 5.

Should I check with my employer?

If your employment contract restricts commercial use of your professional identity, yes. That's your responsibility to verify, and it's worth doing before you apply rather than after.

Still deciding?

Applying is free and commits you to nothing. You'll receive one specific monthly figure — and you're free to decline it.
